Our Story
Having been a long-time student of naturopathic remedies and coming from a West Indian heritage where “bush” of many kinds are used to strengthen, tone, and heal, I always knew that on some level I would eventually do healing work for my community.
In 2014, I was introduced to Ifa* and began my spiritual journey which led me to be an initiate of Olokun, the Yoruba and Edo orisa** of the ocean, in 2016.
By coupling my love for energy healing, natural remedies, and all that I have come to learn from and be blessed with on this spiritual path, I wanted to share with others the products that I created for myself to enjoy which embody the principles of Olokun who empowers those who ask with wealth, success, status, abundance, fruitfulness, wisdom, and a cool, calm, subdued mental/emotional state of mind.
Whether or not you believe in spirituality and can appreciate the metaphysics behind it, you will find our products leaving your skin soft, supple, smelling amazing, and your body adorned with unique pieces that will elevate your mood. Our Philosophy
We believe that all of our natural senses: seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, tasting, and even intuition and extrasensory perception can each be pathways to healing holistically. When we align mind, body, and spirit to higher levels of wellness and peace, we can easier resonate with and attract the same in all areas of our environment.
Inspired by the healing modalities of aromatherapy, herbology, and traditional African spirituality, every ingredient or material in each of our hand-crafted creations is selected due to its properties and the corresponding energies they support to generate a sense of beauty, peace, and abundance.
Queens of the River Marketplace represents the feminine and creative energy of the waters that can refresh and put life back into us when we need a reminder of who we are.
